Chandler B. Adams diary, 1855-1860.

An account of Adams' life in New York state as a Sabbath school missionary and student at Union College; of experiences in and near St. Paul (Minn.) as a surveyor, and as a teacher in Champlin, Minnesota; and of visits to Presbyterian churches, sermons by Edward Duffield Niell, and a story about the discovery of iron on Minnesota in 1856. Accompanied by a photograph and brief biographical sketch of Adams, written by his nephew, William H. M. Adams in 1942.
